Bayanihan

Answering our Filipino Ancestors' call, The Filipino Community of Pierce County and Pierce College's Aspire Program has come to together in the spirit of Bayanihan to Ignite your Kapwa! At this conference our goals for our community are as follows:

-Learn to belong and be active in the Filipino community

-Give students and families a sense of pride and nationalism for their dual identities

-Restore cultural heritage through culinary, visual arts, and performing arts

-Love and respect each other’s differences and celebrate them

-Lead in organizations and professions worldwide while retaining their identities as Filipinos

-Promote students and young adults to be able to succeed in any career of their choice
